Privacy Policy for Test Nexus

Last Updated: November 17, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how TestNexus By Twocan ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with your use of the Test Nexus mobile application (the "Service"). Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to being transparent about our data practices.

1. Information We Collect and Use

We've designed our Service to be a powerful tool while minimizing the collection of your personal data. The information we handle is used to provide and improve the Service's functionality.

1.1. Personal Information for Authentication

We use Google Sign-In as the sole method to create an account and log you into the Service. This process is managed by Google's secure authentication service. Firebase Authentication, a Google service, stores a unique identifier (Firebase User ID) and the email address associated with your Google account to manage your session. We do not support other sign-in methods.

1.2. Location Data

Our Service uses your device's location to provide location-based features, such as showing your current position on the map and enabling the mock location functionality. We request your permission before accessing your location.

Your location data is processed in real-time only and is never stored on your device or our servers by our app. Your use of location-based features is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

1.3. User-Generated Data

The core feature of our Service is to allow you to create and manage data profiles for testing purposes. This data is created by you manually or through the app's data generator feature.

Strictly Local Storage: All profile data you generate is stored exclusively in a local database on your device. This information is never transmitted, uploaded, synced, or backed up to any server we control. It is completely offline and for your use only.

1.4. App Content from the Cloud

We use Google's Cloud FireStore to store and sync non-personal, general app content, such as our "How-To" guides and other instructional information. This ensures you always have the most up-to-date information within the app. FireStore is not used to store any of your personal or user-generated data.

1.5. Information Collected Automatically

To maintain and improve our Service, we use several services from Google's Firebase platform, which collect a limited amount of anonymous data automatically:

  • Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous usage statistics (e.g., app opens, feature usage) to help us understand how users interact with the Service and to improve it.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: Collects crash reports and performance data to help us identify and fix bugs, improving app stability.

This data is anonymized and aggregated. It does not include personally identifiable information.

1.6. Advertising and Marketing

To support the free version of our Service, we display advertisements through Google AdMob, a Google advertising service.

What Information is Collected for Advertising:

When you use our Service, AdMob and its advertising partners may automatically collect:

  • Advertising ID: A unique, user-resettable identifier for advertising purposes
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, screen size
  • IP Address: Used to determine general location (country/city level)
  • App Interactions: How you interact with ads (views, clicks)
  • General Location: Approximate location based on IP address (not precise GPS location)

How Advertising Data is Used:

  • To display relevant advertisements to you
  • To measure ad performance and effectiveness
  • To detect and prevent ad fraud
  • To provide personalized or non-personalized ads based on your consent

Personalized vs Non-Personalized Ads:

  • Personalized Ads: Ads tailored to your interests based on your activity across apps and websites. Requires your consent in regions like Europe (GDPR) and California (CCPA).
  • Non-Personalized Ads: Generic ads not based on your personal interests. Shown if you decline consent for personalized advertising.

Third-Party Advertising Partners:

AdMob works with third-party advertising partners to serve ads. These partners may also collect data about your device and ad interactions. A list of AdMob's advertising partners can be found at:

  • To Enable Location-Based Features: We use your location data in real-time to display your position on the map and enable mock location functionality.
  • To Store Your Testing Data Locally: All user-generated profile data is stored on your device for your exclusive use.

  • To Improve the Service: Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data help us understand app usage and fix issues.
